Combined Spine Society Meeting of Canada, Australia and New Zealand (CANZ 2019)

The 2nd CANZ meeting  was held in stunning Queenstown in September 2019. The meeting’s academic programme provided many interesting insights into how each country provides the most advanced techniques of spinal care to their citizens and also how they best train the next generation of spinal specialists and researchers. BSRG Senior Research Fellow, Paige Little presented her innovative and exciting work on “Creating Bespoke Theatre Mattresses for Complex Paediatric Spinal Surgery: A novel technology using 3D surface scanning”. QUT Masters Student, Hardy Jennings presented his research “An MRI-based technique to assess progressive changes in 3D vertebral morphometry in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis” and Dr Pawel Sowula presented part of his Masters Degree findings on “Assessing progressive changes in axial plane vertebral deformity in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis”.
