Annual generous sponsorship by Queensland X-Ray of the QUT Masters position at the Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH) in Brisbane, allows the BSRG team to train the Orthopaedic Specialists of the future. Together with the support of Qld Health, the two-year Clinical/Masters position enrols young medical officers in a Masters of Philosophy at QUT.
The position is open to Senior House Officers and Principal House Officers and is located clinically in the Orthopaedic Department at the QCH. The position has been offered annually since 2005 and has been generously supported by Queensland X-Ray since its inception, making 2025 the twentieth year of their support. An impressive milestone of which we are all very proud.
This long standing unique program directly impacts clinical practice in the management and treatment of spinal deformity and disorders as well as training the next generation of research active medical specialists who will utilise the research skills they have learned throughout their medical careers.
