The Biomechanics and Spine Research Group (BSRG) at the Queensland University of Technology undertake a wide range of basic science to clinical research. Our approach to new discoveries is to apply a multidisciplinary research framework engaging Orthopaedic Surgeons, Biomedical Engineers and basic Biologists to address clinically driven problems such as; Paediatric Spine Deformity Research, Mechanobiology of Bone Remodelling & Adaptation, Osteoporotic Fractures & the Aging Spine, Spine Implant Testing and Analysis and the Characterisation of Biological Tissues.

Our aim is to contribute to current scientific and medical knowledge with outcomes that are immediately clinically applicable and therefore positively impacts the lives of children and adults with spinal deformity and disorders.
