The Centre for Material Science is leading innovation in advanced nanomaterials for the next generation electronic devices with lower energy consumption, higher storage density and faster processing speed. Developments are facilitated by our expertise in design, modelling, prototyping and characterisation.
We explore solutions for replacing silicon dominated electronic devices such as CPU and hard disks. We investigate alternative materials such as graphene, silicene, transition metal dichalcogenides, indium selenide and magnetic CrI3, NiI2, for digital information storage and logic calculations.
