Hosted by the QUT Centre for Data Science (CDS), the day features:
From 8am:
- An optional walking tour from South Bank and a visit to The Cube, one of the world’s largest interactive digital display environments.
From 9am:
- Welcome by Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Troy Farrell.
- Morning Tea: Australian-inspired treats featuring native ingredients.
- Real-world applications of Data Science & AI, showcasing impactful projects in partnership with industry and community.
- An Indigenous research showcase, highlighting the ways Indigenous knowledge and perspectives inform and enrich data-driven inquiry.
- Lunch & Networking: An opportunity to network with CDS staff members, research students, and collaborative partners.
- Short data science presentations from early and mid-career researchers within CDS.
- An informal networking and poster session that will feature research projects from data science research students and emerging professionals.
