Educationalisation – What it means for students

Educationalisation at QUT: Turning research into learning

What is educationalisation?

Educationalisation is a bold new approach to learning at QUT, led by CFE. It’s about taking the latest research – real insights from the frontlines of academic discovery – and embedding it directly into your coursework. Instead of waiting years for research to trickle into textbooks, educationalisation brings cutting-edge thinking into the classroom now. This means your learning is powered by the same ideas shaping the future of business, technology, and society. You’re not just learning about the future – you’re learning from it.

Whether you’re an undergraduate or postgraduate student, educationalisation gives you a richer, more relevant learning experience.

The Future Enterprise Book | The capabilities that matter tomorrow

Future MBA students will also benefit from a new proposed coursework initiative that brings educationalisation to life in a powerful way. Drawing directly from chapters of the upcoming book The Future Enterprise: The Capabilities That Matter Tomorrow, this initiative will translate cutting-edge research into accessible, engaging curriculum content. Research questions will be transformed into clear learning objectives, and students will be guided through the process of thinking like a researcher – learning how to critically evaluate evidence, apply theory to practice, and develop an evidence-based mindset. This approach not only deepens understanding of complex enterprise challenges but also equips students with the analytical skills needed to lead confidently in data-driven, research-informed environments.
