Building resilience, embracing innovation, and realising strategic opportunities

The fast-evolving economic, political, regulatory, social, ecological, and demographic landscapes are presenting organisations with an array of challenges. With traditional long-term strategizing no longer sufficient, organisations must develop “future literacy” — the ability to navigate and adapt to multiple plausible futures with resilience, agility, and coordinated decisiveness.

This research theme centres on large incumbents, providing insights and frameworks to build revenue resilience and envision strategies that embrace technology-driven disruption and opportunity. Our work equips organisations to design and execute robust strategies in hypercompetitive, complex, and rapidly evolving environments. We also examine how nations are crafting and implementing strategies
for emerging technologies —large language models and quantum computing — to enhance competitiveness.
