May's BNE Trust Alliance | Guest speaker, Lauren Fell

Taking a holistic perspective on trust

Thank you to everyone who joined us at this month’s Brisbane Trust Alliance event, and a special thank you to speaker Lauren Fell who spoke on the importance of curating the trust experience for customers.

Lauren gave a stimulating presentation on the complexity of trust and provided operational advice regarding key areas for trust experience design in light of many interrelated factors. Distinguishing intuitive from conscious trust cues, Lauren explained how understanding an individual’s unique interaction with an organisation can provide insights into optimising the trust experience.

Lauren works in the research area of Quantum Cognition, with a particular interest in experimental protocol design to test quantum-based models of cognition, as well as the psychological explanations for these results. She teaches in the areas of Decision Science and Cognitive Information Science in the School of Information Systems, and represents the school on the Health, Safety and Environment Committee.
