Amplifying the voice of young Australians in road safety

The overall project funded by the NRSAG includes not only funding for the Re:act team to run their behaviour change program and associated initiatives but also a research and evaluation component to be led by CARRS-Q. The evaluation will comprise a robust mixed methods approach including process and impact evaluations of the Re:act behaviour change program. In-depth insights of the program’s implementation will be provided via focus groups with young persons undertaking the program in both regional and metropolitan areas. Process evaluations will be carried out over two years of the program’s implementation in 2024 and 2025. Evaluation of the program’s impact will also be conducted over each of the two years of the program’s implementation in 2024 and 2025 via online surveys with large samples of young persons to determine the effect of the campaigns (produced in the program) on young people’s attitudes and behaviours.
