Road safety is an issue of global concern, and CARRS-Q is committed to conducting high-quality research and education to reduce road trauma.

An internationally recognised research centre, our key asset is the dedicated and multidisciplinary staff assembled over the last 24 years, whose expertise is augmented by our postgraduate research students. Our research informs the development and implementation of road safety countermeasures and policies to keep the community safe on the road.

Due to the rise of new technologies, the way people travel is very dynamic. We embrace these societal changes and deliver innovative evidence-based solutions, in what is a very safety critical field.

Our award-winning postgraduate education program has been in existence for over 20 years, and is open to both domestic and international students. We also deliver an undergraduate unit as part of QUT’s Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology), which is heavily subscribed.
