This event marks the launch of our ‘accessibility playbook’, Accessible Assessment and Pedagogies: Improving Student Outcomes Through Inclusive Practice. Written in the same plain language and humour as its best-selling sister, Inclusive Education for the 21st Century: Theory, Policy and Practice, this new book explains accessibility and why it matters, while providing robust evidence for change in assessment task sheet design, classroom pedagogy, and Assessment for Learning practices. There are 15 chapters and multiple resources to help educators to improve students’ learning experiences and outcomes, while benefiting from fewer requests for clarification and increased student engagement. Sounds too good to be true? Come and hear from the school leaders and teachers who believed in the vision and backed the researchers to make it happen!
In-person only
