Professor Sandeep Reddy currently heads the Disciplines of Healthcare Management, Health Information Management, and Health, Safety, and Environment at the School of Public Health and Social Work at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He also co-leads the 'Health and Human Biology' theme at the Centre for Data Science.

He holds a PhD in Healthcare Management and Data Analytics from Flinders University, Australia, and has over two decades of experience in healthcare management, health informatics, and medical education. He also has a medical degree and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH) and the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM). Furthermore, he is a practitioner member of the UK Faculty of Public Health and is a certified health informatician and certified health executive. He also holds a fellowship with the European Academy of Translational Medicine Professionals and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.

Professor Reddy's research focuses on integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into healthcare delivery and program evaluation methodologies. He has led numerous AI-driven healthcare projects, particularly in governance, evaluation, medical imaging, facial recognition technology, and AI in chronic disease management. His extensive expertise has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), where he served on the Digital Health Roster of Experts and the Focus Group on AI for Health. He is also a prolific author, contributing to leading journals and conferences on healthcare reform, AI governance frameworks, and digital health strategies. Professor Reddy has published multiple books and chapters on healthcare evaluation and AI applications in healthcare, focusing on translational methodologies. He is also an editorial board member of several prominent journals, including  PLOS One, Journal of Medical AI, Frontiers AI, Future Medicine AI,  Journal of  Hospital Management and Policy, and International Journal of Healthcare Management. In addition, Professor Reddy has presented his research as a speaker or a panelist in destinations such as Venice, Nairobi, Honolulu, Basel, San Diego, Boston, London, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Prof. Sandeep Reddy has held key roles in government and healthcare organizations, including Principal Advisor for Acute Care Policy at the Northern Territory Government, Australia, and  Senior Manager roles at Hutt Valley and West Coast District Health Boards in New Zealand. In these positions, he coordinated health funding agreements, developed quality indicators, and implemented clinical governance frameworks. He has also coordinated Healthcare Management Programs at Deakin and Flinders Universities. His research involves evaluating AI adoption in healthcare and the effectiveness of healthcare interventions. Prof. Reddy's engagement extends to editorial board memberships of international journals. He has presented at numerous conferences on topics like AI in healthcare and digital health innovations. This diverse experience across healthcare management, digital health, policy development, and research showcases Prof. Reddy's substantial real-world engagement in the healthcare sector.
