    • Project Title: Prediction of relative hormonal environment for all common menstrual cycle ‘types’ (natural and pharmaceutically modified)
    • Partner Organisation: SPLINK Connected
    • Honours Student at QUT
    • Supervisors: Professor Divya Mehta, Dr Sue Robson

Pri recently graduated with a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) and is currently completing an Honours year in the same field at QUT. She is working towards becoming a Clinical Psychology Master’s student, with a particular interest in Women’s Health, Eating Disorders, and Neurodivergence. Pri grew up running, swimming, and playing netball, and now enjoys playing social touch football and netball, as well as attending outdoor gym classes.

What made you interested in the program?

I am deeply passionate about taking a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to Women’s Health, supporting individuals with eating disorders, and helping them to foster a positive relationship with exercise, free from diet culture and harmful norms. My personal interest in menstrual health drew me to the program’s focus on improving overall health, well-being, and performance for those with a menstrual cycle through tailored, individualised approaches. I’m especially excited to develop knowledge and skills through the NGGP that extend beyond the traditional boundaries of Psychology.

What research question are you looking forward to exploring?

There is considerable inter-individual variability in health, well-being, and performance, particularly among female athletes, where additional factors such as hormonal fluctuations play a role.

A key research question I’m interested in is: How can we improve the mapping and measurement of repeating cycles within individuals, and how can repeating patterns between cycles be linked to health, well-being, and sports performance? Also, can we help females discover what works best for them by better tracking both natural and pharmaceutically modified cycles?

    Fun Fact About Yourself?

I am a dog mum to a 1-year-old Golden Retriever who loves swimming at the beach, being cheeky and sitting next to me when I do pottery.
