About the Centre
The QUT Centre for Data Science is a well-established national hub for world-class research, training, and engagement in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Now under the leadership of Professors Moe Thandar Wynn and Dimitri Perrin, the Centre builds on a strong foundation established by Distinguished Professor Kerrie Mengersen.
Our vision is to be a global leader in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence methods and practices that benefit our world.
We draw together capability in data science and AI from across Australia to deliver cutting-edge research, unique training opportunities, and active external engagement.

Australia’s Data Science Network at QUT
QUT is uniquely positioned to lead data science and AI nationally, with recognised expertise in analytics, machine learning, computational modelling, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The Centre successfully leads the Australian Data Science Network (ADSN) and maintains strong links with Cooperative Research Centres, Centres of Excellence, and international partners.
