Selva Salimi is a dedicated researcher at the Data Science Centre, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her research focuses on Bayesian algorithms for complex statistical models, which are essential for accurately capturing intricate relationships and data patterns observed in real-world systems. Through her work, Selva aims to enhance modelling of these systems which can lead to more accurate predictions and a better understanding of the underlying phenomena. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science, with her studies emphasizing Bayesian methodologies and machine learning algorithms. During her master’s program, she contributed and co-authored several publications in journals, including Pattern Recognition Letters and Statistical Analysis and Data Mining.
