Professor Yuefeng Li is recognized internationally in Knowledge & Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems. He published 250 refereed papers (including 60 ERA A or A* journal or conference papers). He has been awarded 5 ARC discovery (he is the 1st CI for three of them) and one ARC linkage grants. He also applied data science to real-world applications through 6 CRC projects. He received 8,100 citations (h-index=46 &14 articles > 100 citations) & 10 Best Paper Awards. As a professor, he has made fundamental and influential contributions in Text Analysis, Machine Learning and AI-based Data Analysis. He has been the program leader of Information Science at QUT and a technical committee member of IEEE CIS Emerging Technologies Technical Committee, and Technical Committee on Intelligent Informatics. As a PC or Conference chair, he organized 5 international conferences, and as an editor-in-chief of Web Intelligence, he overseen many articles for 8 years. As an Academic Lead HDR, he is responsible for overseeing the School’s research training activities for many HDRs. He carries out research on Data mining & Knowledge Discovery, Data Engineering and Data Science, Natural Language Processing, IR & Web Search, semi- and unsupervised learning, deep learning, information modelling, management and ontologies, knowledge representation and Data structure and algorithms. His research outcomes have published in top-20 publications of Google Scholar subcategories: Data Mining & Analysis, Database & Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering & Computer Science (in general), Fuzzy Systems, Computer Networks & Wireless Communication, including Q1 Journals: IEEE Trans.
