Design for a Just World 2025

The Design Lab is proud to present Design for a Just World 2025, a one-day event bringing together researchers, practitioners, and communities to consider how design can shape more just and sustainable futures.

This year’s program will open up critical conversations across a range of pressing global and local issues. Sessions will explore methods for social impact assessment, dimensions of climate anxiety, and the relationship between climate change, mental health, and the future. Participants will also engage with discussions on humanistic approaches to future technologies, as well as the social, cultural, and economic dynamics of the second-hand clothing trade between Australia and the Solomon Islands.

The event will conclude with a dedicated networking session, providing a space for collaboration and exchange among participants committed to positive change.
