Competencies

Design Research

We conduct leading research focused on transdisciplinary design-led innovation. From smart cities and design robotics to sustainable fashion and food, the QUT Design Lab researcher are tackling key challenges facing society, industry, community, and the environment. This research is distributed across our main projects:

Services

We draw on our vast academic expertise and strong industry position to provide key services to partners in the corporate, education, community, and government sectors.

Our team can deliver customisable and flexible services to suit requirement across our main research programs of the QUT design Lab. Our researchers are also available for speaking engagements and research training. Experts from the QUT Design Lab can develop and provide services around:

  • organisational leadership
  • pedagogical models
  • design thinking training.

The QUT Design Lab is also a key resource for fabrication technologies such as 3D printers, computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting, wood-working, and metal milling machinery.

The QUT Design Lab provides specialists in a number of fields who are able to provide flexible, bespoke services to suit your needs.
