The Centre for Materials Science is leading innovation in new and improved materials for the prevention, management, and treatment of diseases.
Our research includes:
- molecular materials for the detection of disease,
- nanomaterials to improve drug delivery,
- microstructured 3D printed scaffolds to improve wound healing,
- bulk coatings that can reduce the risk of infection from microorganisms,
- computational modelling of the interactions between synthetic materials and biological interfaces.
We collaborate with academia, critical health industries, government departments, hospitals, and health focussed not-for-profits to deliver solutions that keep our communities happier and healthier.
