Centre members celebrate at CIESJ end of year awards celebration

Centre for Child and Family Studies members had their hard work recognised on Tuesday 6th December 2022, as the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education, and Social Justice came together to celebrate the end of the year. Dr Meegan Brown was awarded the External partners and Social Impact award for her work in rural and remote communities.  Dr Brown was also a nominee in the Sustainability category for the trauma-informed work she is involved with, along with colleagues Associate Professor Judith Howard and Dr Lyra L’Estrange.

Centre members Dr Sally Savage, Assoc Professor Megan Gibson, Dr Julia Mascadri and Dr Stacey Campbell have been an integral part of the Quality Teaching Performace Assessment in Kindergarten initiative in 2022 and received a nomination along with other panel members in the Contribution to Public Policy and Debate category. Centre Manager Cathy Nielson was awarded a nomination in the service category for her work in supporting the systems and processes of the Centre for Child and Family Studies, the Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation program, and the From the Ground Up Leadership Program.
