I completed my MS in Robotics at the University of Michigan (U-M), Ann Arbor, USA, where my work and experience ranged from multimodal learning, low-light robot localization, 3D reconstruction, and SLAM. I also hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from SVKM’s Dwarkadas Jivanlal Sanghvi College of Engineering (University of Mumbai), India. My latest professional experience includes serving as a Research Associate at the U-M’s Image Guided Medical Robotics Lab in collaboration with the U-M Medical School, where I pre-dominantly worked on developing intelligent adaptive scanning systems for robotic OCT and ophthalmic surgery. I also worked as a Research Assistant with U-M’s Field Robotics Group in collaboration with JPL, focusing on audio-visual Martian terrain understanding for Perseverance rover navigation. My research interest lies at the intersection of AI safety & explainability, AI Introspection, and Visual Place Recognition.
