
Guilherme received his B.Eng. (Control and Automation) degree in 2015 and his MPhil (Electrical Engineering) in 2017, both from PUCRS, Brazil. In 2018, he lectured at PUCRS, teaching various control and industrial automation courses. He received his PhD (Electrical Engineering) from The Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia, in 2023. He is currently a Lecturer (Aerospace and Control) at QUT and his research interests are collision risk estimation for airspace characterisation, and control of scalable networks of dynamic systems and high-precision positioning systems.
Dr. Froes Silva is an accomplished early career researcher with a strong focus on the scalability and stability of networked autonomous systems, including vehicle platoons and inverter-based microgrids. He is also an expert in quantitative risk analysis, having conducted industry collaboration and commercial projects that gained international recognition, being used by uncrewed aircraft operators and regulatory authorities. With a strong publication record and successful industry collaborations, including a patent application resulting from work with Boeing Defence Australia, Guilherme is well-positioned to contribute to increasing the safety of various intelligent transportation systems.
