Dear Colleagues,
We are very pleased to introduce our new Centre for Materials Science Centre Manager – Dr Jessica Desport.
Jessica has a PhD in Applied Chemistry and a specialization in polymerization processes and the molecular analysis of polymers.
During her career, she has been working in close collaboration with industry on a variety application-driven projects. As an entrepreneur, Jessica launched INBLOOM solutions in early 2022, which supports research institutions by delivering courses designed to help develop the professional skills of their young researchers.
Through her research stays in five countries and six different universities, she has been fortunate to experience and develop a mature understanding of research strategies, management styles, and leadership skills, which she is eager to apply to her new role as Centre Manager at QUT.
