FACE-UP: Factors Affecting Childhood Exposures to Urban Particulates

Air pollution is a major risk factor for disease, hindering the health and economic development of low- and middle-income countries. Children growing up in urban areas are especially vulnerable. The FACE-UP project brings together an interdisciplinary team of researchers and practitioners to investigate ways to reduce children’s exposure and generate new insights into the motivations, opportunities, and capabilities of communities that enable successful behavioural change. FACE-UP Project Partner Associate Professor Fiona McDonald will contribute expertise on public health ethics.
