This research project is led by Professor Ben White, Dr Madeleine Archer, and Professor Lindy Willmott in the Australian Centre for Health Law Research, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in collaboration with QUT’s Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation.
This project will use empirical research methods to develop and test accessible education resources that will enhance older Australians’ understanding of their end-of-life choices. The resources will support older Australians to navigate currently siloed end-of-life micro-systems (including advance care planning, palliative care, and voluntary assisted dying) and make informed and integrated end-of-life choices. Project partners Go Gentle Australia, Advance Care Planning Australia, and Palliative Care Australia will support the design and dissemination of the new resources.
