ACHLR member Associate Professor Michael Guihot has been recognised as the David Gardiner Teacher of the Year at the 2025 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence (VCAE).
Michael has shown long-term commitment to excellent teaching through leadership, creativity, and a forward-looking approach to legal education. His work continues to make a real difference: student feedback regularly highlights stronger engagement, better critical thinking skills, and improved digital literacy. Colleagues also point to how his ideas and enthusiasm have encouraged them to explore new ways of teaching and to integrate technology into their own units and to wider curriculum innovation.
Michael co-leads the Public Health and Technology Law Program in ACHLR and brings a sharp, thoughtful perspective on technology in the public health space.
ACHLR congratulates Michael for this outstanding recognition, and we look forward to his ongoing contributions to our research centre and the wider university community.
