Birunthan Peripalingam successfully completed his PhD Final Seminar on 6 May 2025. His doctoral research focused on the “Investigation of Bushfire Resistant Shutter Systems”
Birunthan pursued his PhD as a full-time research student at the Wind and Fire Lab, QUT. He obtained his BSc (Eng.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in May 2015. Prior to commencing his doctoral studies, he gained over six years of professional experience as an engineer in Australia (Sydney), Singapore, and Sri Lanka.
