Research excellence in Structural Wind and Fire Engineering
QUT’s Wind and Fire Lab has a team of postgraduate researchers, postdoctoral research fellows and academics specialising in Structural Wind and Fire Engineering research. The 17-member Wind and Fire Lab team of qualified professional researchers is one of the largest groups in Australia.
The Wind and Fire Lab exists to:

- Conduct both fundamental and applied research in Structural Wind and Fire Engineering and disseminate information through publications, seminars, workshops and conferences.
- Undertake multidisciplinary research related to the Safety of Steel Buildings against Wind and Fire disasters and disaster resilience in general.
- Provide first-class education in Structural Wind Engineering, Structural Fire Engineering, Steel Building Safety and Disaster Resilience.
- Deliver Wind and Fire Safety testing and consultancy services to industry and profession.
