Tharindu Abeysiriwardena a past graduate from the WAFL group, QUT has successfully received the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award for 2023. He completed his PhD final seminar in 2022 on Cold-Formed Steel Stud Walls Subject to Distortional Buckling Failures.

Son Tung Vy, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the WAFL group, QUT has successful in receiving a Faculty of Engineering Executive Dean’s Commendation for Outstanding Doctoral Thesis for 2023. He completed his PhD final seminar in 2022 on Structural and Fire Behaviour of Light gauge Steel Framed Wall Systems made of Built-up Stud Sections.
