DMRC is excited to welcome new PhD students to our centre this year! We have 8 scholarships available for PhD students commencing in 2022.
One scholarship will be awarded for a research topic aligned with any of DMRC’s five research programs. The successful student must be available to commence study in Brisbane in Semester 2, 2022. Four scholarships will be awarded in the ARC Laureate Fellowship team led by Prof Axel Bruns. This team is researching the dynamics of partisanship and polarisation in online public debate. Read more information about these scholarships here.
One scholarship will be awarded in the ‘Access to screen culture in an algorithmic age’ research project led by Dr Kylie Pappalardo. Read more information and apply here.
One scholarship will be awarded in the ‘Making TV Australian in the 21st Century’ research project team led by Prof Amanda Lotz. Read more information and apply here.
One scholarship will be awarded for the ‘Protest politics in the marketplace: investigating ethical consumerism and shareholder activitism’ research project within Dr Erin O’Brien‘s ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award fellowship. Applications for this scholarship will close at 5pm on Friday 29 April 2022 and the successful student must commence study by 30 June 2022. Read more information and apply here.
