Professor Tuck Wah Leong

    Professor Tuck Wah Leong is the Deputy Dean Learning & Teaching in the School of Computing Technologies. Tuck is also the Director of the Apple Foundation Program @ RMIT.

    Tuck is a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, and Participatory Design scholar and researcher who specializes in human-centered approaches of inquiry and technology design. Tuck has worked in multidisciplinary teams across Europe and Australia. This includes Microsoft Research Cambridge (UK), Aarhus University, Denmark, and the Culture Lab, Newcastle University, UK. Tuck’s interests include human values, human experiences of digital technology (especially serendipitous experiences), innovating design methods to better support designing, and exploring more effective and productive ways to co-design with underserved and marginalized communities.

    Tuck is on the Editorial Board for the Digital Creativity Journal, a member of the Australia Computer-Human Interaction Special Interest Group (CHISIG), and the ACM. He was also the chair of the OzCHI 2014 conference at UTS.
