Area of expertise: Surface modification and Rheology
I am interested in biobased chemistry. It is important because our relentless pursuit of innovation often leads to unintended environmental consequences, and these effects are starting to catch up with us. My work aims to mitigate these effects, particularly in the aviation industry. Aeroplanes contribute a lot to environmental pollution due to their high fuel emissions. By reducing aeroplane drag, we can lower the energy required for travel, thereby decreasing fuel consumption, and reducing the environmental impact of air travel.
