Dineth Edmund has completed his Honours in Civil Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University, UK and Honours in Physics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka in 2017. He has worked as a research consultant in Tokyo Cement Company (Sri Lanka) on cement and concrete products to find innovative and economic concrete solutions for mega infrastructure developments in Sri Lankan Construction industry. Dineth was also a research technologist to assess the damage in existing structures in Industrial Technology Institute, Sri Lanka. With this experience, he arrived in Australia in 2023 to conduct his PhD in developing resilient concrete blocks to mitigate disasters.
