Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation Workshop

Access a full curriculum of rhythm and movement sessions to support self-regulation and positive behaviour for children aged 2-8 years.

RAMSR (Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation) is a program for young children that aims to support their attentional and emotional regulation skills, as well as mental flexibility, inhibition, and working memory (the executive functions).

The 5-hour workshop aims to teach participants how to use the RAMSR program including simple rhythm and movement activities to support positive behaviour for children aged 3-6 years old. The workshop will be delivered by a RAMSR Master Coach who is an early childhood researcher and very interested in young children’s social-emotional development and wellbeing.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to lead the full Rhythm & Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) eight-week program (15-minute sessions daily), or adjust it and use it as they see fit for their setting.

Workshop participants will be provided with:

  • four full 15-20 minute RAMSR sessions plans to create an eight-week program
  • 24 RAMSR activities as a base level and more than 30 extension activities, with demonstration videos
  • 28 audio tracks
  • 4 sets of visual cue cards
  • The 120-page RAMSR Resource folder with comprehensive curriculum materials will be provided for you to download and print.
