Professor Murray Mitchell is a Professor of Child and Reproductive Health located at The Centre for Child Health Research. He was the immediate past Director, UQ Centre for Clinical Research. Previously he was the Research Director and Deputy Director of the Liggins Institute at the University of Auckland and was the Associate Dean of Planning and Deputy Executive Dean at the University of Auckland Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.  Professor Mitchell holds a D.Sc from Liverpool University and a D.Phil from Oxford University. He has received many distinctions including: Staines Medical Research Fellow, Exeter College, Oxford University; Presidents Achievement Award, Society for Gynecologic Investigation; Fellowship of the Royal Society of New Zealand (FRSNZ) and a James Cook Research Fellowship. He recently became FRCOG (Fellow of The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists).
