The Co-design Project: To Re/connect People to their Chosen Communities

Humans are most likely to flourish when they have a sense of purpose and connections with others. Without meaningful connections with preferred others, people can find their psychological and physical health severely compromised. This project aims to help people connect with others in communities that value and respect them.

This 12-month project involves a QUT/Uniting Care Qld partnership that promises to have real-world impact. Heather Fraser has created a codesign process for a ten-membered design team, to develop a new service to address loneliness and social isolation. It will form the basis of a tender for a new UnitingCare service. Alongside this, we will examine the codesign process in a journal article about doing codesign in the community services.
