QUT Centre for Justice HDR Winter School returns in 2025 and will take place on 23 and 24 June 2025 at QUT Kelvin Grove Campus.
The program has been designed to support HDR students on their research journey and will include sessions on research methodology, professional development and some great opportunities to network with other students, academics, industry and QUT alumni working in diverse fields.
HDR Winter School is open to QUT and non-QUT HDR students and it possible to register for a single day of the program.
The program for 2025 is still in development however so far sessions are confirmed in the following areas:
Research Methodologies:
“Found Archives” – working with existing data sets
Storytelling and Arts-led methods
Delphi Study as a methodology – a consensus approach
Conducting Systematic Reviews
Professional Development:
Researcher Positionality and Reflexivity
Researching Vulnerable and Hard to Reach Groups – including working with communities
PhD by Publication
Critical approaches to search queries and AI prompts
Qualitative Data Analysis using AI
Publishing
Networking:
Graduate Panel Discussion – hearing about the various career journeys of some of our graduates
