Next generation environmental regulation: Integrating regulatory technology

This project aims to develop new approaches to optimally integrating regulatory technology into environmental regulation. Regulatory technology is needed to improve regulators’ efficiency and effectiveness in response to mounting environmental challenges and resource constraints. The project will deliver new context sensitive strategies to enhance the design, adoption and application of regulatory technology.

Expected outcomes include advances in regulatory theory and practical guidance strategies and training to fast track the successful uptake of regulatory technology to improve regulatory outcomes. This will provide significant public resource savings and promote the public interest goals of environmental regulation.
