Dr. Tunny completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Classics from the University of Queensland in 2007. He has more than two decades of experience working in higher education, with a number of years in management and leadership positions in the area of work-integrated learning, including Manager, Work Integrated Learning within the Faculty of Health, Senior Lecturer, Work Integrated Learning at QUT and President of the National Association of Field Experience Administrators (NAFEA).
Dr. Tunny is committed to improving work-integrated learning opportunities, particularly in ensuring equitable access and participation in education. His research interests range from equity and access to WIL, quality assurance of WIL and topics related to people who identify with diverse genders, sexualities and sex characteristics.
He is also the Managing Editor for the open access journal Work Integrated Learning in Practice.
