The cotton industry is committed to identifying its sustainability opportunities, risks and priorities by tracking and reporting performance and via seeking external stakeholder feedback as part of this process. This project will support the measuring and reporting of cotton’s sustainability performance with explicit links to international policies, marketing programs and indicators, for example the EU labelling standards and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition. This is a transdisciplinary project including researchers from CIF and different schools in SEF. Our research group will take leadership in developing a sustainability repository that can be interrogated by the CRDC for different sustainability reporting needs, as well as visualisation tools that can be used to communicate the results to stakeholders.
