Title: An Automated system based on Cross-Linguistic Natural Language Processing to analyze and understand emerging trends and issues on Social Media Platforms
It’s of immense importance to understand the social discourse on any new product, government policy, or technology for its success. Our project deals with identifying people’s attitudes towards hydrogen energy using social media (Twitter) data which is a rich source of information and is available in multiple languages. Twitter data has no limitations of geographical boundaries and can be used to reveal patterns, trends, and opinions that are difficult to obtain through traditional surveys or interviews. The information on Twitter is presented in the form of tweets where a tweet can come from any corner of the world in any language. Each tweet could have information presented in the form of text or image that could provide us with a more comprehensive understanding of the global perspective on a topic. This project deals with such data which is called cross-lingual and multi-modal Twitter data.
