Growing up, I always was always fascinated with the ‘how’s ‘why’s of the world, and almost never satisfied with an answer that took less than 20 minutes to explain. Finding joy in the unknowns and a passion in the journey to solve them (the more complicated and nitty gritty the better!), I was led to the greatest source of unknowns I could think of; the universe itself. I have a passion for all things maths, physics, and computation, with a particular interest in computation cosmology, galaxy evolution, extragalactic astronomy, and observational astronomy. Over the past few years, I have spent almost every vacation period undertaking volunteer research initiatives to try my hand at different astro fields and learn as much as humanly possible, and I have enjoyed every second of it! Having completed my Bachelor of Science (Physics) at QUT in 2024, I am now undertaking my Honours in computational astrophysics under the supervision of Dr Michael Cowley with the hopes of fast tracking my path to a PhD. I can’t wait to continue my journey becoming an astronomy researcher alongside the rest of the QUT Astrophysics Research Group!
