The QUT Astrophysics Research Group brings together researchers exploring the universe across all scales, from the formation of stars and galaxies to the physics of cosmic expansion and dark energy.
Our work spans galaxy evolution, star formation, supermassive black holes, large-scale structure, and the interaction of galaxies with their environment. We use state-of-the-art tools and data from major international observatories, including multi-wavelength photometry, infrared spectroscopy, and spectral energy distribution modelling.
We welcome undergraduate and postgraduate students to join us through research projects, Honours and HDR pathways, and summer research scholarships.
