MPhil, School of Chemistry and Physics

I was born in Gladstone, QLD, but have lived the large majority of my life 5 mins from the beach on the sunny Gold Coast, QLD. At QUT I completed a Bachelor of Mathematics, majoring in Computational Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Physics. Currently, under the supervision of Dr Michael Cowley, I am completing an MPhil, with my research exploring the evolution of the universe by evaluating the changing characteristics of various Galaxies. My project sees me working alongside a team of CSIRO scientists from the EMU (Evolutionary Map of the Universe) research group, an international team centred around the world-class radio telescope ASKAP.

I have a passion to understand what makes things ‘tick’; a desire to understand the greater hidden mechanisms we observe without realising. The QUT astrophysics research group scratches this itch and makes a damn fun time of doing so. If you have any questions please send me or anyone in the research group an email!
