MPhil (2025), School of Chemistry and Physics

Daniel is an MPhil student studying “The Evolution of the Bolometric AGN Luminosity Function via ZFOURGE.” His project involves studying the evolution of galaxies through cosmic time. He earned his bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. Physics) from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2022 with distinction. Daniel was awarded the Australian Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship to fund his master’s research.

Daniel has research experience with ICRAR (The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research) where he developed a novel technique of determining the redshift of the most distance galaxies by utilising the Fast Fourier Transform algorithm. He also took part in QUT’s Vacation Research Experience Scheme (VRES) where he performed an analysis of active galactic nuclei selection diagnostics.
