As part of the QUT Astrophysics Research group ongoing outreach efforts, research student Vanessa Porchet was recently invited to speak at the Rotaract Club of Paddington. Vanessa shared insights into the astrophysics research currently underway in Brisbane and surrounding regions, focusing on how astronomers use large-scale surveys and multi-wavelength data to explore evolution of galaxies. The event offered an opportunity to engage with young community leaders, sparking discussions about the role of astrophysics in addressing fundamental questions about our cosmic origins and future discoveries.
