As part of World Science Festival Brisbane, QUT proudly hosted a public astronomy night inviting visitors to explore the wonders of space – from the surface of Mars to the far reaches of our galaxy and beyond.
While wet weather unfortunately limited telescope viewing through the Observatory dome, the event was still a tremendous success. Guests had the opportunity to meet QUT Astrophysics research students, view telescopes up close under cover, and immerse themselves in the tools and techniques used to study the Universe.
The evening featured interactive science displays, virtual reality experiences, and a vibrant atmosphere of curiosity and conversation. Visitors stayed well past the formal program, chatting with our team about space, research, and what it’s like to study the cosmos.
