The 2022 STEM Summit includes the STEM Tasters and STEM Internship programs and hosts high-achieving Year 11 and 12 high-school students. Delivered during the September school holidays, the event offers students the opportunity to expand their skill sets beyond the classroom and explore future career ambitions with like-minded peers, all before university.
The QUT Astrophysics Research Group shared how the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) was benefiting astronomers. The students used imaging software on real data from the JWST to create beautiful colour images of the Carina Nebula.
