This image is a window into the early universe, with this particular patch of sky representing the ZFOURGE COSMOS legacy field. The field shows galaxies when the universe was between 1.8 to 2 billion years old. Galaxies coloured red are quiescent, while those coloured blue and orange indicate the star-forming and dusty star-forming populations, respectively. Galaxies that host Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), are shown as stars. Using an algorithm to search for environments, Georgia created a surface density map for this early cosmological epoch. In addition to this, Georgia highlights a distant candidate galaxy cluster (circled in the image).
