Dr Frederick Graham (PhD, BNurs)

Fred is a Clinical Nurse Consultant, leading the Dementia and Delirium Nursing Service at the Alexandra Hospital (PAH), Brisbane. He is a clinical expert in managing changed behaviours and psychological symptoms in hospital patients with dementia and/or delirium. Alongside his clinical work, he is recipient of 2023 Metro South Health Future Research Leader Fellowship focusing on research into hospital-based models of care related to cognitively impaired patients extending also to staff capacity building and education, environmental design and pain-related behaviours. Fred is clinical lead for a statewide project to standardise hospital approaches to managing neuropsychiatric symptoms in delirium/dementia.
